Could you introduce yourself to Lewkiss? and what brought you in Korea?

Hi Lewkiss! My name is Valentina.

It brings me great pleasure to share with you the serendipitous turn my life has taken since my arrival in Korea!
My passion for the rich tapestry of Korean culture, art, and design is matched only by my profound admiration for BTS, the iconic K-pop group 🙈
Their music, choreography, fashion, and creativity have been a source of endless inspiration, igniting within me a desire to delve deeper into their world by learning the language that informs their emotive lyrics.

Consequently, I began learning Korean, which has been an immensely gratifying experience, allowing me to better appreciate the nuances and cultural significance of their art. Through my tireless pursuit of language proficiency, I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the prestigious Ewha Womans University, where I am currently studying the intricacies of the Korean language and Design. The learning experience has been unparalleled, providing me with an opportunity to cultivate a deeper understanding of the Korean aesthetic and imbue it into my creative expression.

I hope that my sojourn in Korea will continue to provide me with the intellectual and artistic stimulation necessary to make an indelible mark on the world of design and art! ✨

Where do you get your fashion inspiration?

As a lover of the arts and a design major, I find inspiration in the vibrant cultural tapestry that surrounds me. I believe that fashion is not just a mere trend, but a statement of one’s personality and cultural awareness, a true form of self-expression.

In that regard, I draw inspiration from a diverse range of sources, including the iconic fashion houses of Europe, the bold and colorful fabrics of Africa, the intricate embroidery of Asia, and the eclectic street styles of New York City.

However, I also find myself drawn to the creative vision of modern designers, who fuse art and fashion into a seamless expression of beauty and creativity.

The works of Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, brands like Gucci have been instrumental in shaping my own aesthetic sensibilities, which I continually refine and reinvent. Ultimately, I believe that fashion should be an extension of oneself, a reflection of one’s personality and values. And so, I strive to infuse myself into what I’m wearing! 🤍

Do you have a preferred fashion style or do you experiment with different styles based on your mood? Can you describe some of your favorite outfits or styles you like to wear?

As I’ve mentioned before fashion to me is an expression of one’s personality, a manifestation of one’s identity, and a statement of one’s cultural awareness. While I appreciate and admire the classics, I find myself drawn to a more eclectic and avant-garde style, blending elements from various cultures and styles to create a unique look that is both fashionable and personalized.
I believe that fashion is an art form, and as such, it is meant to be experimental, a never-ending journey of self-discovery and self-expression.
Whether it’s the bold prints and patterns or the understated elegance of minimalist design, I seek to incorporate a diverse range of styles into my wardrobe, experimenting with different colors, textures, and shapes.

To summarize, my fashion style is a reflection of my personality, values and even my mood for the day. I strive to make each outfit a meaningful and memorable statement of my identity and cultural awareness.

What aspect of Lewkin do you find most appealing?

What I particularly like about Lewkin is the variety.

Recently, as I had the pleasure of trying some of their garments I discovered the pink cargo pants, and I was struck by the softness and flow of the material, which gave a comfortable yet chic look. I shall be getting them for myself later this week.

Lewkin’s designs are quite versatile as well. It is a brand that might not be as inclusive but stylish, making it the perfect choice for the modern woman who cares about trends!
